Teachers of Jagannath Barooah University brought laurels to the University through their commendable performances in recent inter-college sports competitions organised under the aegis of the Assam College Teachers’ Association (ACTA), Jorhat Zone.In the Inter-College/University Volleyball Competition hosted by Bahona College on 20th December 2025, the teachers’ team of Jagannath Barooah University displayed remarkable teamwork, sportsmanship and competitive spirit. After a closely contested final match, the University team secured the second position, narrowly losing 1–2 to the host team, Bahona College.The members of the Jagannath Barooah University volleyball team were :

Continuing the sporting excellence, the teachers also performed outstandingly in the Inter-College Badminton Competition hosted by CKB Commerce College, Jorhat on 22nd December 2025, organised by the same association. The University teachers achieved notable success in multiple categories. The results of the badminton competition are as follows:
