In pursuance of Memo No. E.539875/2024/4 dated 7-10-2026, issued by the Directorate of Higher Education, Govt. of Assam, all students of UG 3rd, 5th & 7th and PG 1st & 3rd Semester are informed that the Assam SAMARTH Portal for SUBMISSION OF APPLICATIONS UNDER THE FEE-WAIVER SCHEME is now open and will remain operational until 25-10-2026.
It may be noted that Aadhaar is mandatory for availing the benefits of the Fee-Waiver Scheme. All students who have been admitted into any semester of study in Jagannath Barooah University after availing Fee-waiver benefit will now have to complete the application process on the Assam SAMARTH Portal, failing which they will be denied further Fee-waiver benefits and also be required to repay the previously waived admission fees as stipulated in the to Jagannath Barooah University prospectus.
Students are further advised to note the following:
1. All eligible students must apply for the Fee-waiver scheme through the portal: https://assamshesp.samarth.edu.in/index.php/site/login
2. Students will be able to apply through Assam Samarth only if they are onboarded onto the Fee-waiver application portal by the Institutions.
3. The name of the student in Assam Samarth Portal, Aadhaar Card, academic certificates, and Bank Pass book must be same.
