1. Active platform for students known as the Society for English Studies (SES), which organises student-related activities.
2. Animal welfare club known as Paw Care Club extends care and support to animals on the campus.
3. The teachers and students of the department maintain a medicinal garden.
4. Students actively participate in NSS activities.
5. Students prepare a wall magazine and a handwritten every year.

The teachers of the department have been undertaking research projects in the past. UGC funded research projects as well as IGNOU sponsored research projects were undertaken and completed successfully by the faculty members of the department
The faculties of the dept have a good record of publications. Research Papers are regularly published in reputed journals which are listed in the UGC Care listed and Peer reviewed journal. Text books, Edited books, fictions and reference books are regularly published by teachers at the individual level as well in the dept level also. The dept has been regularly publishing an edited volume “Siddhanta” from the year 2017.It is also publishing the official newsletter of the college,‘J.B.Collage’.
